"Wait, you gotta dial 9 to get out of the building, so dial 9, 9, 1 and then wait for me to tell you to dial the other 1.". Tony DiNozzo -- 7x04 "Good Cop, Bad Cop"
Good Cop, Bad Cop 7x04
Okay. First of all, I need to apologize for having been such a huge *slacker* on this review. I don't know what happened, I swear on MW and SM! I just...wasn't inspired I guess. :P
So, despite the mediochre storyline, this episode was really good in my opinion. Sometimes I think the writers don't really know what they wanna do with Ziva, and this episode is a perfect example of that.
First, the beginning of the ep was awesome, with Tony flipping out about a *heart attack* he thought he was having after Ziva snuck up on him. Classic. Michael Weatherly and Sean Murray are two of my favorite people. They're awesome actors and I love how Tony and McGee are portrayed this season. We all knew Ziva's application to be an agent would be denied at first, 'cause I mean, seriously? They needed *some* way of letting us know what happened to the boat! And she couldn't just come back without any conflict. That wouldn't be any fun, not to mention completely unrealistic.
As excited as I was to find out what actually happened on the boat, the whole storyline with the dead Marine-turned-mercenary didn't hook me for some reason. It didn't really make sense why he was there other than to be a catalyst for them to get on the boat and for Ziva to be able to say that "there's no such thing as an ex-Marine" (which is true, btw)
And WTF with the Ari look-alike Ben-what'shisname. Grr. I don't know why he made me angry, but he did. I did have to laugh at the scene with him and Tony in the conference room waiting for Ziva. That was pretty funny, but I don't remember him being in Aliyah. Eh. *shrugs*
Okay, so I guess that's it. It was an okay eppy. I'll watch it again and again and again and again, of course, because I love this show and despite their bad episodes (first one this season, so I'd say they're doing pretty well) I still love watching them. So...until Tuesday! --K
*B's Comments: While Kelley was definitely slacking this week, I think I need to take some of the blame as well. Of course, considering I don't take responsibility for my actions, I'm going to blame it on my crap schedule at work.*
