I'm pretty much a loner.

Wow, that heading sounds... ominous, doesn't it? I'm pretty much a loner in that I don't mind working by myself. The only exception to this is working with KW (Hi KW). I absolutely adore working with KW because I don't have to entertain her. However, I absolutely loathe being alone when I'm on dayshift.

Granted, I'm not a fan of dayshift anyway, because as previously stated, I'm not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination. If I have to get up before the sun is out, it pretty much ruins my day. Throw in having to work alone and it's like when I found out Santa wasn't real.

Today is one of those days.

Ten Hour Days Are Cruel and Unusual Punishment

Especially when those ten hour days begin at 0700 hours and last until 1700. I'm not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination, and being forced to wake up while it's still dark outside makes me die just a little inside every morning. The only plus side of this schedule that we're working is the breaks in between shifts. Our schedule is as follows:

0700-1700: 4 days
Off: 4 days
1500-0100: 4 days
Off: 3 days
2200-0800: 4 days
Off: 3 days

All in all, I suppose the long hours are worth it, but sheesh. Yesterday was just dragging and so far, it doesn't look like today's gonna be any better.

Remember that meeting I posted about? The one that I predicted would be the end of life as I knew it at work?

Yeah, I should probably be a psychic. Or an honorary NCIS agent, because I totally knew it was coming. Are you ready for this? Wait for it...

I now have about FORTY guinea pigs officers to bake for. Crazy, huh? Having decided to do away with the squads, the dispatchers will now rotate around the officers instead of having a set group.

Which is why I need help! I'm looking for dessert recipes that I can try out on these guys. Cakes, cookies, brownies, it doesn't matter. I'm not concerned about level of difficulty or amount of prep and cooking time. I'd just like to have some suggestions!
