Cali Kelley's NCIS 7x02 Review

"And I'm gonna do that. Right after I get... a Nutter Butter."  --Tim McGee 7x02 Reunion

Reunion 7x02

Wow. That's really all I have to say about this episode. Wow.

Now that I've managed to get that statement out of the way, on to the real review. I absolutely loved everything about this episode, from the case (the first *really* good case that I've seen the team work in a *long* time) to Tony and Tim still being besties, to Abby totally ripping Ziva a new one only to tell her how much she worried about her!

First, the case. Wow. Everything I could have hoped for. The previews made it seem a bit...meh, but it turned out to be one of the more interesting cases that I've seen in all 143 episodes of this show. Especially when the cop was kissing Tony's ass in the house, posing as a first responder and then it turned out to be *his* house! Loved it!

And really, OMG who doesn't love the fact that Tim has finally matured into a formidable opponent for Tony? *raises hand* I do! I love <3 love the new McGee! Hehe. You can tell that Tony really respects him, too. Even amongst all the jokes and fun he pokes at him, the fact that he called him *Tim* for one of the...very very few times ever (seriously, I think I can count the number of times Tony has called McGee Tim on one hand.) even if it was in the middle of criticizing him.

Ever since last week when they showed the promo with Abby yelling at Ziva about Tony risking his life for her, I have been waiting for that scene! And OMG did it deliver! I <3 Abby and thank GOD she grew a pair and told Ziva off, even if she was backtracking for half the scene. None of the boys would have been able to tell her those things, but they needed to be said. Coming from anyone other than Abby, it may have come off as threatening. But I think because Abby was practically explaining every criticism she threw at Ziva, it didn't seem as harsh as it could have.

And of course...what kind of emo Ziva ep would it be without a scene with Tony and Ziva in the men's bathroom?! It was a good scene, too! Tony singing the "goat song" from T&C, only to have Ziva standing there listening...priceless! OH! And the *almost* kiss? Come ON! Who didn't love that.

Probably the best scene in the whole ep is in Gibbs' basement at the end when he goes home and Ziva is waiting to talk to him and he asks her about Ari. I knew the conversation was gonna happen eventually, and I had a feeling it was gonna go something like it did, but I felt that her "Confession" was a little hinky. Like she was trying too hard to convince him. Eh, it was probably just me. LOL. It doesn't help that she's feeling more insecure than ever, I'm sure.

Anyway, I have decided that I have a newfound respect for this show and it's cast, and I find myself unable to wait even until the next day to rewatch the episodes! I've already seen Reunion like 3 times and I'll probably watch it like a shitload more today. Hehe :) So...until next Week!

Until Next Week! --K
