Chewy Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
1.) Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2.) Cream the butter and cream cheese.
3.) When smooth, add in vanilla and sugar.
4.) Add in the flour and chocolate chips.
5.) Roll into 1" balls and place on an ungreased cookie csheet.
6.) Press gently with the bottom of a wet glass to flatten the cookie balls.
7.) Bake for 11-14 minutes
Notes: The recipe originally calls for pecans in place of chocolate chip. However, because I'm not a fan of pecans, I substituted chocolate chips. Also, the recipe says that it makes 24 cookies, but I lost count of how many I actually squeezed out of the batter.
The finished product looks a little burnt around the edges, but they're really tasty. They're so yummy, in fact, that I sent a bag over to my guinea pigs officers, and they just called and asked if I could send more. This recipe is easy to make and the final result is amazing. So much in fact that I ate two. And I hate cheesecake.
